Carter's 9 month pictures

I planned to get Carter's pictures taken around Valentine's Day...and I waited until today in hopes that his black eye would go unnoticed! Of course, they suckered me in to buying sooo many cute pictures they took of him! Here's a few of my favorites!

Carter's 9 month check up

Today we went for Carter's 9 month check up. He was such a little ham! Seriously, I think Dr. Langdon would kidnap him if we let her! Everything went great! Praise the Lord--still not major sickness!

9 month stats:
Weight: 22lbs 10.5oz 80% percentile
Height: 28.75 inches 70% percentile

Lake Wheeler Park

After ANOTHER MISERABLE State loss, we managed to enjoy some peaceful moments on the dock at Lake Wheeler. The weather was in the 70's yesterday in Raleigh and it was beautiful! The park didn't have baby swings but Carter discovered that he really enjoys the tunnel!

Day Trip to Charlotte

On Saturday, Carter and I hitched a ride to Charlotte with the youth group. Aaron was taking a group to a bible quizzing competition and they made room for us so we could spend some time with Aaron's family. Ashley and Cooper joined us too. During nap time, Ashley and I hit up 3 Harris Teeters in Charlotte. I am set with baby food! :P It was a quick trip but we hope to visit again real soon!!

Triple Coupons at Harris Teeter

I love coupons and I especially love TRIPLE coupons! I found out about triples earlier this week and started getting organized. Harris Teeter is not close to our house so we planned our big trip around a basketball game in Raleigh to see one of our youth group girls play. On Thursday (today), we went to Brandi's game and then headed over the HT at Glenwood for Baby food items. We then met my mom at K&W for dinner and then we all headed over to HT at Cameron Village. In the spirit of our last Triples post, of course I had to come home and take pictures! haha! :) I am sure you visual learners appreciate that!

I have pictures of each individual order if you'd like to see those! :P

Here's a run down of our savings:

1st trip:
Gerber & Beechnut, Cereals just to name a few
Total: 69.19
Paid: 24.99

2nd trip:
(Aaron's cart!)
Gerber & Beechnut, Mustard, Meats, Neosporin, Reese's Hearts?! (Doesn't Aaron know the point is to only buy things that we buy with coupons?!!!)
Total: 63.05
Paid: 30.37

(my cart!)
Beechnut, Teabags, Beans and Chili, Salsa, etc.
Total: 63.19
Paid: 10.74

Total Purchases: $195.43
Paid: $66.10

That's 67% savings!!

I may go back out tomorrow...to get some items Cameron Village didn't have. :) Triples are through Sunday---so get your coupons and go save!!!

Yes, we enjoy the park!

The weather here is a bit crazy so when its nice outside, there's where you'll find us. We enjoy going to the park to play and take a walk when Aaron is home too! :) Here are a few pictures from our most recent trip.

Carter enjoys sitting up and standing up in bed! During naps, he sits down everytime I try to lay him down. He normally cries and/or plays before falling asleep. No crawling...yet...but he sure can move around the room without crawling. His top 2 teeth broke through within the last week, and we've had GREAT, GREAT days since!! Carter's black eye is starting to look better...its now under his eye and fading!
