Night out with old friends

We met some of Aaron's friends from college at Wild Wings Cafe for dinner. Sorry for the blurry picture--the hostess at WWC couldn't take a focused picture even with 2 tries. I hated to be annoying and ask her to take a 3rd one. Matt & Olivia (far right) are expecting their first child at the end of April. Yet, John & Lauren had no idea! We were talking about how much weight we had gained and Lauren never caught on. 3 of the 4 are all high school science teachers...except for John! He decided to be an "assistant scientist" at Glaxo instead of being a teacher. It was nice to catch up with old friends! :)

Aaron was cleaning out his closet today and found this awful hat. He decided to wear it while making dinner tonight!

FCA Night at the Hurricanes Game

I went to my first Carolina Hurricanes game last night! They won 6-3! We took 3 students from the high school and after the game we got to hear Cam Ward speak.

Here's some pictures of the new floor. This week it's been like a scene from Flip that house around here. We also got a new kitchen facuet and garbage disposal! Shout out to my parents who slaved away the past 5 days!

New Floor Day 1

Aaron took today off to help dad with the new flooring. Here are a few starting pictures...

28 weeks & new flooring

I went to the doctor last week on Thursday. Since Aaron started softball last week, he could not attend. I am going to try somehow to schedule my appointments around that schedule but it may be tough since I am going now every 2 weeks! As of last week, I have only gained 14 lbs! :) I have to go back this Wednesday because they forgot to give me the glucose drink at my last visit! Things are going well...minus the painful heartburn!!!!, minor back aches and exhaustion!
Tonight we have been taking everything out of the dining room and taking up the carpet and padding because Aaron and my dad are putting in laminate flooring on Wednesday! I'm excited! Tomorrow night, we will be taking up more carpet and padding from the living room.

Next week, we will be getting the crib and changing table. I'll put up some pictures of the nursery then! :)

Week 26 Belly Picture

As of my last appointment, I had only gained 10 lbs!!! :D That's very exciting to me! Let's hope I don't get crazy in the last few weeks!

Week 26

Nothing really new to report. On Saturday morning about 5am, I could feel the baby moving around. I woke up Aaron and told him where to put his hand on my belly. This was the first time he actually felt the baby move. I don't feel the baby move too often. Maybe he's just a tiny thing or sleepy like his mommy! :)
We started the new semester about a week and a half ago. Somehow, I landed teaching in 3 different classrooms. Therefore, I live off of a cart. Not where I saw myself as a 4th year teacher! I am having to be OVERLY organized! I'll keep you up to date as to how this is affecting my body! I made a countdown chart on my cart. 14 more weeks till the due date. I haven't decided if I am going to leave a week or more early. I see that countdown everyday and I really use that as motivation to get through the semester! At least I get to leave a few weeks early! ;)
I have had some trouble with my camera so I haven't really taken any belly pictures. I hope to get some up soon. I go back to the doctor on the 14th. I'm sure from here on out I'll have to go to the doctor without Aaron, since softball starts on the 11th. And soon I'll start going every 2 weeks! Crazy!
We have decided on the crib and changing table! We got some decent Babiesrus coupons that start towards to end of the month so we'll use those then! We are planning to use a dresser that I had when I was in college. Mom is going to buy the bedding tomorrow. Once she does that, we are going to choose the light blue paint color to match the quilt. We've talked about painting this weekend, but nothing as been finalized. I'll put some pictures up once that happens.
