10.5 months
After a diaper change recently, Aaron button his right leg on the left leg and his left leg on his right leg. I think he needs more practice changing diapers. What do you think? :)
Carter is into everything these days. He really enjoys exploring in the kitchen most. He interacts with the dogs a lot more too. He's pretty rough with them by pulling on their ears and poking them in the eyes. He likes to stand at the back door and watch them on the porch. Last week, the dogs jumped the fence. I wasn't home so Aaron had to grab Carter and take him with him as he ran through the backyard to get the dogs. Aaron said Carter laughed the whole time.
Carter is really loud and talks a lot. He also manages to talk during any prayer. He says mama, dada, hey, bye & ball. We are working on the word doggie. Sometimes I hear it.
He throws all sorts of things...toys, sippy cups, his hands in the air, himself on the floor with he gets popped on the hair (its kinda funny).
He loves to go on walks!
Carter's hair is getting little curls in the back. He's so cute! :)
Carter is starting to stand for a couple seconds on his own. I think we've got another milestone approaching.
All 4 of Carter's top teeth are in, in addition to his 2 bottom ones.
Carter loves yogurt. Actually he'll eat pretty much anything.
I have mixed lots of different flavored puffs, cheerios, yogurt melts (all little baby foods for those without babies) and Carter always eats everything but the cheerios first. And then manages to drop those in his lap so he can get more of the good stuff. Does he really know what he's doing?
We try to visit my grandparents at least every other week. Here's my grandma giving Carter an orange.

It's official...
Earlier in the week, I forwarded one of the assistant principal's the name of a teacher looking for a Family and Consumer Sciences position. The assistant principal's responded by asking me what I was doing in the fall. I figured I should pay her a visit instead of responding via email. She knew in the back of her mind that I wasn't coming back but she needed to hear from me. So Tuesday, I stopped by and broke the news. I am not returning to CHS in the fall. Shocking? No. I absolutely love staying home with Carter!! I also love being able to hang out with Aaron and enjoy time with him and Carter after school. It's so nice to not have to deal with the stress of teaching high school. It's also so nice to be able to visit my grandparents every week (or every other) so they can enjoy some time with Carter! Not to mention the benefits to Carter too. I am truly blessed to have a supportive husband! He's great. And is willing to work odd jobs...teaching swim lessons on the weekends in order to help fill the gap of my missing salary. I would not trade this time with Carter for anything!!
Picnic at Pullen Park
We're the Red & White from State
When Carter came along, we decided to give up our Bball season tickets. We had only been to one other game this year so I decided to buy some tickets for Senior Night against Boston College. This was actually Carter's 1st State Bball game!
Security Guards are not great at photography!
Carter was so excited about the game that he refused to take an afternoon nap. He struggled to stay awake for the 2nd half. I think he's watched a few too many games this season which is why he enjoys napping during the 2nd half?!
Singing the fight song!
And State won! :)
